The best days were the days of struggle Up to our necks in trouble Never were we more fully alive The victory was won so sweetly When we gave ourselves completely Nothing could have weakened our resolve If yesterday you could have seen Where you'd be tomorrow Would you even start the journey? The road will lead you places You would never choose to go For seemingly it takes you Far from your quarry To a cache of treasure, You may not recognise But in that moment your faith is being tested To see if it will bridge the chasms floor For every soldier proven in the fire To them a crown of glory Surely does await Ch. When I look back in wonder At where the road has brought me Regret is not the lover Who shall be my muse For in the heart of darkness The recess of your shadow Disappointment will be blinded by the light For destiny will not forsake me Calamity not overtake me For every soldier fallen in the battle Deserted disbelieving To them our duty Is to carry on Carry on Ch. The best days were the days of struggle Up to our necks in trouble Never were we more fully alive The victory was won so sweetly When we gave ourselves completely Nothing could have weakened our resolve We went all the way All the way from sorrow All for a bright tomorrow All the way And in the witness cloud They testify of virtue Of the souls who shine In the shadow of the valley And the sequel will be wonderful Not hurtful not shameful For they seek not their own but the glory of others To carry the weight of sisters and brothers To forgive but not condone Anonymous unknown And my brother says: Who will bear this burden? And I say what burden? I am my brothers keeper

Where'd ya get your soul brother Where'd ya get your soul brother Where'd ya learn to cry brother Where'd ya learn to cry brother When I bore my cross sister I walked the narrow way mother I went to the well with the thirst of my soul And I drank of the cup of the water so cold I'm crying Father please How'd ya come to know brother How'd ya come to know brother I looked into His word brother I looked into His word brother It's how I learned to read sister The writing on the wall mother I went to the well... If you wanna walk the streets of gold If you wanna shout and bless your soul You must love your enemy And bear the blows of enmity I went to the well... Where'd ya get your soul brother Where'd ya get your soul brother Where'd ya get your wounds brother Where'd ya get your wounds brother In the household of my friends sister I turned the other cheek mother His footsteps scored the earth sister Bruised upon the heel mother I went to the well...

There in Gethsemane He bled for you and me Teardrops of salvation Walls all came tumbling down As the thorny crown Dug into his temples Scorned in the raging storm Mans perfect image formed On the cross to save us This is what I've learnt Only love can heal All creation yearns For this to be revealed Only love can see See beyond the veil The veil of our hearts The veil's torn apart Fear fear and doubt be gone Footsteps walk upon The mountains of the ocean All our hunger surely fed In every word he said Baskets full left over Though though the body dies The Spirit testifies He rebuilt the temple This is what I've learnt Only love can heal All creation yearns For this to be revealed Only love can see See beyond the veil The veil of our hearts The veil's torn apart His disciples swiftly fled The night before He said 'Father it is finished' The rooster crows three times Conscience cannot deny The Son of God forsaken Betrayal with a kiss Cast in to the abyss By those who crucified Him

For when prayer is desire Faith is command Clutching His garment In the palm of her hand Alone in a sea of humanity Who in her sorrow will see? None but the saviour None but the King At His feet she worships To His altar brings Her prayer her desire Her deepest demand Clutching his garment In the palm of her hand Lower than the angels Just for awhile To see through our eyes To groan in our sighs To die in our footsteps Our sufferings share The extra mile Our burden to bear There at his weakest In the garden that night He wept in his sorrow Even for his life But though he struggled His desire won out To see us walk forth In the glorious light None but the saviour None but the King At His feet we worship To His altar bring Our prayer our deisre Our deepest demand Clutching his garment In the palm of our hands

Though I speak in tongues of angels Though I give my body burnt And bestow the poor my wages For what profit in return? If I had mountains Pouring down rivers If I had fountains Filling the sea If I had faith to remove those mountains It would be nothing without charity She takes me where the river flows Takes me where the flowers grow And always is a friend to me We will share our destiny She takes me to the places Of pure free born graces Before the dawning of the world But unless I go How will I see Unless I'm cut How will I bleed Unless I feel How will I know How sweet it is To love you so Though I speak... Blind men and sages Their voices roar Clashing symbols In a holy war But she suffers long Always is kind Does not envy Boasts not in pride She we will meet me at the Tree With fruit of innocence and dreams We will be consumed as one In the glory of the Son We will share the secret of the revelation Thy will will be done

Temptation 04:06
Don't lead me in Into temptation You can never win If you tempt temptation Your eyes betray you Your lips will lie Lust will slay you In vain you'll cry Sin is crouching at your door Don't lead me in Into temptation You can never win If you tempt temptation Her lips are shining Her breath tastes sweet Her smile's blinding Your eyes they meet Sin is crouching at your door She's like the wind in the she oaks and the storm on the sea She puts the rhyme in the rhythm and the weakness in me Drags me under drags me under She's the current in the river sweeping me off my feet Alcohol in my liver siren of defeat Drags me under drags me under Sin is crouching at your door All day long upon this killing floor Don't lead me in Into temptation You can never win If you tempt temptation You say you're in love Justified in your own mind It don't make it right The noose pulls tighter Sin is crouching at your door All day long upon this killing floor credits

I'm gonna send her I'm gonna send her Flowers everyday and remember Her deep love I'm gonna send her I'm gonna send her All of my heart and defend her This I know Her deep love is a breaking wave Her deep love is a breaking wave I'm gonna love her I'm gonna love her All of my days and no wonder This I know Her deep love is a breaking wave Her deep love is a breaking wave And love Is like coming up for air It's like learning how to share Things I never would have dared It's a light that's shining in the dark It's a dagger through the heart It's a seat upon the ark

about

'The Mountains Of The Ocean', was recorded recorded between March 2019 and March 2020. The first track 'The Best Days Were The Days of Struggle' is about perseverance. Struggle is life's middle name. Character development, personal enrichment and anything worth gaining comes about as the result of struggle. This track owes a debt to Santana and songs such as 'I will Survive' and 'Fly me to the Moon'.
'Where 'D Ya Get Your Soul Brother' carries an RnB mantle.
'Only Love Can Heal' contains the lyric from the the albums title. It is in itself an uplifting Gospel mountain whilst 'Charity Unless' and 'Prayer is desire' are gentle folk ballads.
'Temptation' and 'Breaking Wave' round out the record with a soul/folk vibe.
